Henderson County LogoHENDERSON, Ky, (3/4/18) — Henderson County's postseason journey ended on its home floor in the Second Region Boys' Basketball Tournament Semifinals. Christian County pulled away to defeat Henderson County 78-61 in the semifinals of the Second Region Boys' Basketball Tournament on Saturday evening.

With the loss, Henderson County ended its season 15-14.

Christian County improved to 22-7 and advances to the Second Region championship game with the win.

Detorrion Ware poured in a game-high 45 points to lead Christian County to the win. Accompanying Ware in double figures for Christian County, Cory Trice scored 12 points and Fred Tandy added 11 points.

Christian County outscored Henderson County 22-14 in the first quarter and remained ahead 37-32 at halftime.

Productive Christian County added to its lead shorty after intermission and led 58-45 at the end of the third quarter.

Kale Gaither led Henderson County with 20 points. Joining Gaither in double figures for Henderson County, Isaac Anglin netted 18 points.
