Madisonville North Hopkins MaroonsMADISONVILLE, Ky. (3/7/18) — Longtime Second Region softball powerhouse Madisonville-North Hopkins is expected to receive its toughest challenge from experienced Christian County during the 2018 season. Following voting through the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association, Madisonville-North Hopkins and Christian County tied for the preseason number one spot in the Second Region.

Defending state champion Madisonville-North Hopkins has won four straight Second Region titles. Courtney Patterson, the MVP of the 2017 state tournament, is back to lead the Lady Maroons. Patterson is the top-ranked player in the Second Region.
