Apollo High School EaglesOWENSBORO, Ky. (3/8/18) — Apollo has been labeled the preseason favorite among Third Region softball teams. The E-Gals are picked to dethrone longtime frontrunner Owensboro Catholic, which won its 17th Third Region title in 2017 while under the direction Hall of Fame coach George Randolph, who has since retired. 

Apollo has the top three players in the Third Region preseason rankings

Daviess County, Owensboro Catholic, Hancock County, Meade County, Muhlenberg County, Ohio County, Grayson County, McLean County and Butler County are ranked behind Apollo in the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association Preseason Third Region Top 10 Poll.
