McLean CountyBROWNSVILLE, Ky. (4/12/18) — The McLean County baseball team finished runner-up in the 3rd Region All 'A' Classic. Hancock County doubled up McLean County 6-3 in the 3rd Region All 'A' Classic championship game at Edmonson County High School on Wednesday.

Hancock County hurler Jacob White earned the win while McLean County pitcher AJ Cline suffered the loss. With the loss, McLean County dropped to 1-6.

Hancock County improved to 6-4 with the win.

Cody Axton led the Hancock County offensive effort with a two-run home run. A pair of his teammates, Tanner Singleton and David Baker, contributed two hits apiece as the Hornets prevailed.

Hancock County edged the Cougars 9-8 in the hits column and won despite committing five errors.

Jacob Miller led McLean County with three hits.

The Cougars committed two errors in the setback.
