WC logoHENDERSON, Ky. (4/12/18) — Visiting Webster County scored one run in the top half of the eighth inning and held Henderson County scoreless during the following at-bat to win 8-7 in a high school softball game on Thursday.

With the win, Webster County improved to 5-3

Henderson County dropped to 3-3 with the loss.

Webster County pitcher Karlie Keeney earned the win. Keeney pitched two innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out three and walking one.

Grace Scott started the game for the Lady Trojans. Scott went six innings, allowing five runs on seven hits, striking out four and walking one.

Henderson County pitcher Hailee Hope took the loss. Hope pitched seven and a third innings, allowing nine hits and four runs while striking out three.

Webster County connected for 11 hits. Keeney, Kerstin Braden, Rylee Warford and Hattie Hartman led the Lady Trojans' offensive effort with two hits apiece.

Kaytlan Kemp and Rylie Bentley paced Henderson County at the plate, proving two hits each. 

The Lady Colonels committed three errors in the loss.
