Muhlenberg County Lady MustangsMADISONVILLE, Ky. (4/13/18) — Hannah Gossett delivered a grand slam and six RBIs to lead Muhlenberg County past host Hopkins County Central 8-7 in a high school softball game on Thursday.

With the win, Muhlenberg County evened its record to 2-2.

Hopkins County Central dropped to 2-3 with the loss.

The Lady Mustangs outhit Hopkins County Central 12-11 and won despite committing five errors.

Other leading hitters for Muhlenberg County were Alyssa Brewer (2-for-3), Courtney Hale (2-for-4) and Emma Roe (2-for-2).

Muhlenberg County pitcher Lauren Walker registered five strikeouts and earned the win.

Hopkins County Central hurler Josie Menser took the loss.

Menser and Brenna Sherman led Hopkins County Central's offensive attack with two hits apiece.

Muhlenberg County won despite committing five errors.
