Henderson County High School 300HAWESVILLE, Ky. (4/14/18) — Henderson County managed to win on the road on Friday, defeating Hancock County 7-2 in a high school softball game.

With the win, Henderson County improved to 4-3.

Hancock County dropped to 6-4 with the loss.

Henderson County pitcher Kelsie Hill earned the win while Hancock County hurler Claire Westerfield suffered the loss.

The Lady Colonels outhit Hancock County 13-7 and didn't commit an error in the field.

Molly Wallace was 3-for-4 with four RBIs to lead Henderson County at the plate. Following Wallace's leading effort, Kaytlan Kemp and Rylie Bentley contributed two hits apiece for the Lady Colonels. Kemp drilled a double in Henderson County's triumph.

Shelby Harpenau went 2-for-3 with a home riun to lead Hancock County offensively. Another Hancock County player. Jasmine James, added a double.
