Henderson County BaseballCADIZ, Ky. (5/13/18) — Visiting Henderson County overcame an early deficit to defeat Trigg County 14-8 in a high school baseball game on Saturday, notching its fourth straight win in the process.

With the win, Henderson County improved to 18-8.

Nolan Melton, Bryce Willett and Jake Murdach led the Colonels with two hits apiece. Another batter, Jake Willoughby, doubled and drove in three runs for Henderson County in the victory. Melton, Willett and Spencer Bartlett collected two RBIs apiece.

Henderson County pitcher Dylan Sutton claimed the win. Both Jax Hagan and Ethan Cartwright worked out of relief roles on the mound for the Colonels.

Savion Radford and Nick Ahart led Trigg County with three hits apiece. Radford drilled a two-run homer for the Wildcats in the bottom half of the second inning.

Trigg County pitcher Ashton Plymale took the loss.

The Wildcats lost despite outhitting the Colonels 12-10. Trigg County committed four errors while Henderson County made three defensive miscues.
