Daviess County HS logoREO, Ind. (5/15/18) — Emily Stanley threw a three-hit shutout to lead Daviess County past host South Spencer (Ind.) 5-0 in a late-season high school softball game on Monday.

With the win, Daviess County improved to 16-8.

Stanley registered six strikeouts on her way to claiming the pitching win.

Daviess County plated all five of its runs in the second inning. The Lady Panthers doubled up South Spencer 6-3 in the hits column.

Savannah Northern paced Daviess County at the plate, finishing 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs. Turning in a similar performance for the Lady Panthers, Millie Roberts went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Ashton Rasr collected all three of South Spencer's hits in the loss. Homestanding South Spencer committed the game's only error.
