WC logoLA CENTER, Ky. (5/15/18) — Webster County pitchers Brendon Thompson and Luke May combined to throw a two-hitter as the Trojans beat host Ballard Memorial 8-3 in a late-season high school baseball game on Monday.

With the win, Webster County improved to 8-19.

Ballard Memorial stumbled to 4-16 with the loss.

Thompson earned the pitching win. He surrendered three runs on one hit over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four. May threw three and a third innings in relief for the Trojans.

Ballard Memorial pitcher Kameron Howle suffered the loss. Howle went three innings, allowing six runs on five hits and striking out three.

Webster County banged out eight hits in the win. May and Gabriel Salazar each provided multiple hits for the Trojans. Salazar went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Webster County's offensive attack.
