HCCHS Blank Centered 300MARION, Ky. (5/15/18) — Visiting Hopkins County Central was held scoreless as host Crittenden County prevailed 2-0 in a late-season high school baseball game on Monday.

With the loss, Hopkins County Central dropped to 5-18.

Crittenden County improved to 9-16 with the win.

Hopkins County Central was limited to two hits and committed a pair of errors.

Crittenden County pitcher Tyler Boone worked a complete game and earned the win. Boone allowed two hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking zero.

Hopkins County Central pitcher Jacob Morphew took the loss. Morphew allowed five hits and two runs over six innings, striking out four and walking one.

McCalister Caden led Crittenden County at the plate, providing two hits in three at-bats.

Blake Herring and Colin Garrett each collected one hit to lead Hopkins County Central in a limited offensive effort.
