DCHAWESVILLE, Ky. (5/16/18) — Daviess County pitcher Garrett Whiteker threw a four-hit shutout as the Panthers blanked host Hancock County 7-0 in a late-season high school baseball game on Tuesday.

With the win, Daviess County improved to 11-15.

Hancock County dropped to 15-14 with the loss.

Whiteker registered six strikeouts and didn't give up any walks on his way to notching the win.

The Panthers outhit Hancock County 9-4.

Kirk Liebert and Jack Gibson led Daviess County with two hits apiece. Cameron Nichols, Jake Hansen and Nolan Boswell provided RBIs for the Panthers in the convincing victory.

Each high school baseball team committed two errors.
