muhl mustangs1 300GREENVILLE, Ky. (5/16/19) — Muhlenberg County fell short at home as visiting Paducah Tilghman prevailed 10-6 in a late-season high school baseball game on Tuesday.

With the loss, Muhlenberg County dropped to 16-13.

Paducah Tilghman improved to 23-9 with the win.

The Mustangs lost despite outhitting Paducah Tilghman 9-8 and committing only one error. Paducah Tilghman overcame three errors to earn the win.

Josh Lang and Jackson Fristoe led Paducah Tilghman with two hits apiece. Lang delivered three RBIs while Eric Riffe and Colbe Crim drove in two runs apiece.

Nick Casey paced Muhlenberg County at the plate, providing two hits. Aiding the Muhlenberg County offensive attack, Brennan Meyers delivered a triple and Cole Shanks contributed a double.

Crim was the winning pitcher.

Muhlenberg County pitcher Camden Carver took the loss.
