OwensboroCatholic baseballOWENSBORO, Ky. (5/16/18) — Owensboro Catholic rolled in its first game on Chautauqua Park's renovated Independence Bank Field on Tuesday, topping 3rd Region rival Whitesville Trinity 11-3.

Owensboro Catholic improved to 13-13 with the win.

With the loss, Whitesville Trinity dropped to 2-17.

Sam McFarland led Owensboro Catholic in the late-season high school baseball game, delivering two doubles and four RBIs.

Sam Hein earned the win on the mound for the Aces. Helping his pitching cause at the plate, Hein went 2-for-2 with two RBIs.

Max Reid (two RBIs) and Luke Hayden (two doubles) also contributed at the plate for host Owensboro Catholic.

Zach McDowell and Briar Roberts paced Whitesville Trinity at the plate, delivering two hits apiece.
