Henderson County LogoEVANSVILLE, Ind. (5/16/18) — Henderson County fell short on the road in neighboring Indiana on Tuesday as host Evansville North held on to win 4-3 in a late-season high school softball game.

Megan Keinepp delivered a lead-off home run in the bottom half of the third inning to push Evansville North over the top for the win.

With the loss, Henderson County dropped to 8-14.

Evansville North pitcher Erika Will earned the win while Henderson County hurler Hailee Hope took the loss.

Helping her pitching cause, Keinepp finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs while teammate Tessa Embry went 2-for-3.

Kaitlyn McCormick went 2-for-4 with a double for the Lady Colonels. Aiding the Henderson County offensive effort, Sophie Margelot finished 2-for-4 and Rylie Bentley contributed two RBIs on a single.
