Owensboro Red DevilsOWENSBORO, Ky. (5/16/18) — Owensboro wouldn't be denied a win at home on Tuesday. The Red Devils managed to edge 3rd Region counterpart Grayson County 6-5 in a late-season high school baseball game.

Owensboro claimed its fifth consecutive victory.

With the win, Owensboro improved to 17-9.

Grayson County dropped to 9-20 with the loss.

The Red Devils edged Grayson County 8-7 in the hits column and won despite committing two errors. 

Brennon Williams went 2-for-2 and scored two runs for the Red Devils while teammate Tucker Hagan provided two RBIs. Another Owensboro player, Nick Belcher, finished 2-for-3.

Owensboro pitcher Corey Gibson notched the win while Grayson County hurler Braxton Hodges suffered the loss.
