Madisonville North Hopkins MaroonsMADISONVILLE, Ky. (5/16/18) — Madisonville-North Hopkins suffered its fourth straight loss on Tuesday, falling to Graves County. Visiting Graves County upended the Maroons 7-5 in a late-season high school baseball game.

With the loss, Madisonville-North Hopkins dropped to 16-14.

Graves County improved to 21-8 with the win.

The Eagles outhit the Maroons 11-8.

Graves County pitcher Drew Montgomery earned the win. Montgomery allowed six hits and four runs while striking out seven over six and a third innings. Closing out the game on the mound for the Eagles, Chase Carrico threw two-thirds of an inning in relief.

Madisonville-North Hopkins pitcher Jacob Joseph took the loss. Joseph worked six and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on eight hits while striking out three.

Clint Williams, Lane Howell and Caden Green each collected multiple hits for Graves County in the victory. Williams went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Eagles.

Ethan Browning and Parker Mathis led the Madisonville-North Hopkins offensive effort with two hits apiece.
