HCC StormMADISONVILLE, Ky. (5/16/18) — The Hopkins County Central Storm halted a three-game losing skid on Tuesday, edging the visiting University Heights Blazers 10-9 in a late-season high school baseball game.

With the win, Hopkins County Central improved to 6-18.

University Heights dropped to 8-13 with the loss.

The Storm plated two runs in the bottom half of the seventh inning to claim the victory.

Each team collected 10 hits and committed four errors.

Hopkins County Central pitcher Colin Garrett earned the win while University Heights hurler Tanner Thomas took the loss.

Garrett and Logan Scarbrough led the Hopkins County Central offensive effort with two hits apiece. Garrett and Scarbrough provided four RBIs and three RBIs, respectively.

Scribby Goode, Dan Johnson and Eston Glover paced University Heights with two hits apiece. Goode and Johnson drove in two runs each for the Blazers.
