Owensboro RiverDawgsOWENSBORO, Ky. (6/9/18) — Owensboro fell short in a bid to win at home on Friday as visiting Dubois County held on to prevail 8-7 in an Ohio Valley League (OVL) game on Friday.

Dubois County pitcher Evan Hall earned the win. Hall allowed five hits and five runs over seven and a third innings, striking out five. Jaxson Blair and Sam Mudd entered the game out of the bullpen for the Bombers. Blair recorded the last three outs to record the save.

Owensboro pitcher Bo Robinson took the loss. Ross allowed two hits and three runs over one-third of an inning. Another pitcher, Hayden Wynja, started the game on the mound for the RiverDawgs. Wynja surrendered four runs on three hits over one-third of an inning.

Dubois County outhit Owensboro 10-7 and finished error-free in the field.

John McDonald, Jake Lewis and Evan Kahre led the Dubois County offensive effort with two hits apiece.

Seth Price provided two hits while Austin Peterson belted a home run for the RiverDawgs in the setback.

Owensboro committed four errors in the loss.
