Owensboro RiverDawgsOWENSBORO, Ky. (6/11/18) — Host Owensboro scored two runs in the bottom half of the sixth inning to double up Fulton 4-2 in an Ohio Valley League (OVL) game at Independence Bank Field at Chautauqua Park on Sunday.

Owensboro pitcher Reece Calvert claimed the win. Calvert allowed four hits and two runs over six innings, striking out six and walking one. Another pitcher, Blake Graham, threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen for the Bombers. Graham recorded the last nine outs to earn the save.

Fulton pitcher Brian Baxa took the loss. Baxa allowed three hits and two runs over two innings, striking out two.

Owensboro banged out seven hits in the game. Danny Torres and Austin Peterson led the RiverDawgs with two hits apiece.

James Nix provided two hits for Fulton in the setback. Nix smacked a solo home run for the Railroaders.
