Muhl Stallions Baseball logoGREENVILLE, Ky. (6/23/18) — Muhlenberg County fell short in a bid to win at home in an Ohio Valley League (OVL) game on Saturday as visiting Paducah held on to prevail 8-7.

Paducah pitcher John Dowless claimed the win. Dowless pitched six innings, allowing 10 hits and six runs while striking out three. Another Paducah pitcher, Logan Bowen, threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Bowen recorded the last nine outs to earn the save.

Muhlenberg County pitcher Alan Howe suffered the loss. Howe surrendered six runs on eight hits over five and a third innings, striking out three and walking zero.

Brandon Kelly paced Paducah at the plate, finishing 3-for-5.

Justin Chauvin, Jalen Horton, Jacob Morris, Javy Lopez, Brady O’Neil and Ronnie Allen collected two hits apiece for the Stallions in the setback. O'Neil belted a home run for Muhlenberg County in the fifth inning.

The Stallions struggled defensively, committing six errors.
