Henderson Flash logoFULTON, Ky. (7/8/18) — Henderson banged out 13 hits but fell short of landing in the win column as host Fulton prevailed 9-7 in an Ohio Valley League (OVL) game on Saturday.

Fulton pitcher Austin Jones earned the win. Jones allowed three hits and one run over two innings, striking out two. Helping Fulton to secure the victory, RJ Green threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Green recorded the last three outs to notch the save.

Henderson pitcher Drew Behling took the loss. Behling tossed two and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on three hits while striking out four.

Sam Stohr started the game on the mound for the Railroaders. Stohr pitched six innings, allowing nine hits and six runs while striking out seven.

Chase Martin started the game on the mound for the Flash. Martin allowed four hits and five runs over four and a third innings, striking out two.

Henderson lost despite outhitting Fulton 13-8.

Green, Stohr and Noah Haupt each hit a home run for Fulton in the victory. Stohr, Haupt and Justin Rodriguez paced the Railroaders with two hits apiece.

Evan Keller, Paul Haupt, Nolan Fertig and Aaron Euler each managed multiple hits for visiting Henderson. Keller and Paul Haupt led Henderson with three hits apiece. Paul Haupt drove in three runs for the Flash.

Henderson and Fulton committed one error apiece in the OVL matchup.
