hoptown hoppers 300FULTON, Ky. (7/8/18) — Determined Hoptown managed to notch a win on the road on Sunday, defeating homestanding Fulton 10-6 in an Ohio Valley League (OVL) game.

Hoptown pitcher Jaxon Herchenbach earned the win. Herchenbach worked six innings, allowing six runs on eight hits while striking out three. Kendall Marshall and Joe DeFina entered the game out of the bullpen and worked in relief roles for the Flash.

Fulton pitcher Matt Higgins took the loss. Higgins worked only one inning, allowing three runs on two hits while striking out one.

Hoptown outhit Fulton 11-9. Proto went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead the Hoppers in the hits column.

Higins, Jack Gallagher and Conner Brandon paced Fulton with two hits apiece.

The Railroaders struggled in the field, committing four errors.
