Owensboro RiverDawgsOWENSBORO, Ky. (7/18/18) — Owensboro managed to win at home on Tuesday, defeating Henderson 9-5 in an Ohio Valley League (OVL) game.

The Flash lost despite edging the RiverDawgs 10-9 in the hits column.

Defensively, Henderson committed two errors in the setback.

Owensboro pitcher Bo Robison earned the win. Robison pitched one and one-third innings, allowing one run on zero hits and walking one. Two other pitchers, Ian Ellis and Trevor Salmon, entered the game out of the bullpen and pitched in relief for the RiverDawgs.

Chase Thomas started the game on the mound for homestanding Owensboro. Thomas worked six innings, allowing four runs on eight hits while striking out two.

Henderson hurler Cam Wiley took the loss. Wiley allowed four hits and six runs over four innings, striking out two.

Travis Hennessy started the game on the mound for visiting Henderson. Hennessy went three innings, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out one.

Jakob Shuler led Owensboro at the plate, finishing 3-for-4 with a home run.

Drew Behling, Aiden McMahan and Brodie Brown paced Henderson with two hits apiece.
