Henderson Flash logoHENDERSON, Ky. (7/21/18) — Henderson bounced back to win in the opening round of the Ohio Valley League (OVL) Playoffs on Saturday, outlasting visiting Dubois County 5-4.

The Flash edged the Bombers 10-9 in the hits column but committed three errors.

Henderson pitcher Jacob Tapp earned the win. Tapp tossed seven innings, allowing eight hits and three runs while striking out 10. Dillon Day threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen for the Flash. Day recorded the last six outs to notch the save.

Dubois County pitcher Evan Sankey took the loss. Sankey surrendered five runs on eight hits over five innings, striking out two.

Paul Haupt and Evan Keller each hit a home run and provided multiple hits for Henderson in the victory. Keller went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead the Flash in the hits column.

Gonzales paced Dubois County at the plate, providing three hits in five at-bats.
