Muhlenberg County Stallions logoOWENSBORO, Ky. (7/22/18) — Muhlenberg County's 2018 season ended on the road on Sunday as host Owensboro held on to prevail 14-10 in the opening round of the Ohio Valley League (OVL) Playoffs.

Owensboro pitcher Reece Calvert earned the win. Calvert pitched five innings, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out five. Carlos Pena and Bo Robison entered the game out of the bullpen and worked out of relief roles for the RiverDawgs. Robison recorded the last two outs to notch the save.

Muhlenberg County pitcher Adrian Comas took the loss. Comas tossed three and a third innings, allowing three hits and four runs while striking out one.

The RiverDawgs outhit the Stallions 15-12.

Cam Curry clubbed a home run for Owensboro in the victory. Curry, Kobe Stephens, Danny Torres and Matt Jewell each managed multiple hits for the RiverDawgs. Stephens led Owensboro with four hits in six at-bats.

Bryson Horne and Cary Holloway paced Muhlenberg County with two hits apiece.
