DCOWENSBORO, Ky. (8/17/18) — Daviess County pulled away to defeat host Owensboro Catholic 7-1 in an early-season 9th District boys' soccer game on Thursday.

With the win, Daviess County moved to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the 9th District.

Owensboro Catholic dropped to 1-1 overall and 0-1 in the district with the loss.

Declan Sandifer and Brian Winkler led Daviess County with two goals apiece. Accompanying Sandifer and Winkler in the Daviess County scoring coumn, Jacob Boling, Hunter Clark and Maxten Miller netted one goal apiece.

Winkler, Clark, Miller, Ethan Easterday, Hayden Glover and Carson Thomas dished out one assist apiece for the Panthers in the victory.

Defensively for Daviess County, goalkeeper Cody Clark limited Owensboro Catholic to one goal.
