oboro apollo football03MORGANTOWN, Ky. (9/8/18) — Remaining undefeated, Apollo blanked host Butler County 52-0 in a high school football game on Friday night.

With the win, Apollo moved to 4-0.

Butler County stumbled to 0-4 with the loss.

Apollo quarterback Colby Clark completed eight of 10 passes for 99 yards and two touchdowns. Clark hooked up with Geoffrey Johnson and Daylin Crabtree on one scoring pass apiece.

Mariano McKenzie paced Apollo on the ground, rushing 14 times for 37 yards and four touchdowns.

Producing on special teams, Apollo kicker Wes Knott connected on a 37-yard field goal.

Defensively, Apollo limited Butler County to 29 yards of total offense. The Bears were held to -21 yards rushing.

Daelin Kennedy registered an interception while Tre Sanders recovered a fumble for the Eagles.

Through its first four games in the 2018 season, Apollo has outscored opponents 137-40.
