Daviess County HS logoLEWISPORT, Ky. (9/9/18) — Daviess County claimed its second straight win in Week 3 of the 2018 high school football season, shutting out host Hancock County 20-0 on Friday night.

With the win, Daviess County improved to 3-1.

Hancock County dropped to 2-2 with the loss.

Numerous lightning delays limited the Daviess County-Hancock County football game to one quarter.

Quarterback Joey Cambron led Daviess County to the win, completing nine of 13 passes for 141 yards and two touhdowns.

Marquel Tinsley hauled in two receptions for 34 yards and one touchdown for the Panthers.

Alex Nalley added two receptions for 33 yards and one touchdown for Daviess County in the victory.

Landon Newman paced the Panthers on the ground, rushing five times for 26 yards and one touchdown. Newman also reeled in two catches for 31 yards.
