Madisonville North Hopkins MaroonsMADISONVILLE, Ky. (12/12/18) — Camryn LaGrange poured in a game-high 24 points to lead host Madisonville-North Hopkins past rival Hopkins County Central 50-44 in a 7th District girls' basketball game on Tuesday.

With the win, Madisonville-North Hopkins moved to 5-0 overall.

Hopkins County Central slipped to 3-3 overall with the loss.

The Lady Maroons won despite shooting only 29.8 percent (14-of-47) from the field. Madisonville-North Hopkins was 4-of-23 from 3-point range.

However, Madisonville-North Hopkins shot 64.3 percent (18-of-28) from the free throw line.

Courtney Peyton accompanied LaGrange in double figures, adding 16 points for the Lady Maroons.

Madisonville-North Hopkins battled back to win after starting the final quarter down six points. Finishing strong, Madisonville-North Hopkins doubled up Hopkins County Central 24-12 in the final quarter.

Keke Ikeard led Hopkins County Central with a team-high 14 points. Ikeard was the only Hopkins County Central player to reach double figures in the scoring column. Narrowly missing double figures, Somaya Stafford netted nine points for the Lady Storm.
