steve 3 21 2017OWENSBORO, Ky. — Steve Hayden 62, of Owensboro, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Stephen Dale Hayden was born December 8, 1954 in Owensboro, Kentucky to Ralph Clinton and Doretta Jean Howard Hayden. He was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan, enjoyed collecting coins, and loved spending time with both his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Clint Hayden.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Cory and Sara Hayden of Fort Wayne, Indiana; a daughter and her husband, Kayla and Deven Turner of Yuma, Arizona; three grandchildren; his mother and her husband, Jean and Larry Harris of Owensboro; a brother, Brent Hayden and wife, Carol of Calhoun; and a sister, Shelly Hayden and husband, Terry Hamilton of Owensboro.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Dr. Richard Sams officiating. Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post 5415. Friends may visit with Steve’s family from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Musters in Calhoun.

The Steve Hayden family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the McLean County High School, Boys Basketball Program; 1859 Kentucky 136 East; Calhoun, Kentucky 42327. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
