Core benefit programs include: Medicare Part D Extra Help/Low-Income Subsidy (LIS), Medicare Savings Programs, Medicaid, Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP—formerly known as Food Stamps) and Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).

In 2009, GRADD became one of the first 10 agencies in the nation to establish a benefits enrollment center (BEC), and they received a $50,000 National Council on Aging (NCOA) grant earlier this year to continue those services.

BECs utilize web-based tools and person-centered approaches to help low-income seniors and persons with disabilities find and enroll in all the benefits programs for which they are eligible.
