fuquaOWENSBORO, Ky. (12/11/17) — After a vehicle a Philpot man was riding in was stopped for a traffic violation yesterday, Kentucky State Police obtained a search warrant for his residence, which led to four children being removed from his home for unsanitary conditions.

KSP said a vehicle Jason Fuqua was a passenger in was stopped on Kentucky 54 was in possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. The evidence gathered led police to obtain a search warrant for his residence on Old Kentucky 54 in Philpot.

At the residence, troopers and Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies located numerous items of drug paraphernalia leading to four adults being charged. Police also located four children living at the residence in unsanitary conditions. Child protective services was notified and KSP is assisting the Cabinet for Health and Family Services with its investigation.

Fuqua was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance/meth – first offense, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess and possession of marijuana.
