santa grocery cartOWENSBORO, Ky. (12/13/17) — The Owensboro Police Department is holding its Fifth Annual Operation Santa Food Drive. OPD has teamed with the Elizabeth Munday Center to gather food for those regularly served by the Meals on Wheels program.

With this year’s local business and department donations, there will be 300 food boxes delivered to citizens in the community.

OPD members and families will gather at 9 a.m. Dec. 20 inside the department’s community room to assemble the boxes. Then, the boxes will be transferred to police vehicles for delivery.

OPD thanked Lowes, Evergreen, Atmos Energy, Southern Star Gas Pipelines, First Christian Church, Distinguished Law Care, On Duty Depot, Alorica and Kroger for their help and support in the effort.
