UPDATE: OWENSBORO, Ky. (12/18/17) — The ex-boyfriend of one of the female victims was the alleged attacker in the Saturday evening stabbing incident on Baker Avenue.

After an investigation, Owensboro Police released information today regarding the stabbing incident that concluded Kevin Baize, the ex-boyfriend of Jessica Estes, attacked Estes and her grandmother, Brenda Watkins.

Both Estes and Watkins received non-life threatening injuries while Baize died from apparent self-inflicted stab wounds.

ORIGINAL STORY:

OWENSBORO, Ky. (12/17/17) — Police are investigating a stabbing incident in which two women and a man received multiple stab wounds.

Owensboro Police Department said notification was received at 8:35 p.m. Saturday that a stabbing had occurred and responded to the 2100 block of Baker Avenue.

When police arrived, they found the man and two women, who were transported by ambulance to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment.

Names of the victims are being withheld as OPD detectives continue the investigation.
