WHITESVILLE, Ky. (3/12/18) — An Owensboro man faces multiple charges after police say he fled from Kentucky State Police during a traffic stop last night in Whitesville.
KSP said a trooper stopped a vehicle driven by Jeremy D. Payne, 42, at around 8:15 p.m. in the 10000 block of Kentucky 764. During the stop, Payne fled on foot and was pursued by the trooper. When he was apprehended, the trooper found him to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Payne was charged with careless driving, excessive windshield/window tinting, first-degree possession of a controlled substance/meth – second offense, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess and second-degree fleeing or evading police/foot. He is being held in the Daviess County Detention Center.
