helm arrestOWENSBORO, Ky. (5/14/18) — An Owensboro man was charged with possession of methamphetamine and trafficking in marijuana after Kentucky State Police and Daviess County Sheriff deputies executed a search warrant at his Jackson Street residence.

Authorities went to the 1500 block of Jackson Street shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday. During a search, police located a glass pipe containing what appeared to be meth and baggies of marijuana.

KSP charged Russell H. Helm, 54, with first-degree possession of a controlled substance/meth – first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking in marijuana.

He is being held in the Daviess County Detention Center on a $25,000 full cash bond.
