matt caslinFRANKFORT, Ky. (7/10/19) – The Senate Majority Caucus has announced its appointments for the 2019 General Assembly’s Interim Task Forces. Senator Matt Castlen (R-Owensboro) will serve on the Public Water and Wastewater System Infrastructure Task Force.

The purpose of the group will be to develop an evaluation process that can strategically target issues and risks within the public water and wastewater systems. Members of the task force will assess current technical, managerial, and financial conditions and procedures to effectively identify the best policy options to increase sustainability and improve the overall capacity of Kentucky’s present community water systems. The task force shall submit their findings, legislative strategies, or a memorandum to the Legislative Research Commission no later than Nov. 29.

“It is an honor to serve the 8th district as a member of this interim task force,” said Castlen. “I am looking forward to working with my fellow group members to help develop the best legislative course of action for Kentuckians.”

The first meeting of the task force will take place on Wednesday, July 24 in Frankfort.
