OWENSBORO, Ky. (11/28/19) — A baby reported to have suffered serious physical injuries led to the arrest of an Owensboro woman following a recent investigation.
Owensboro Police Department reported officers were called 8:45 p.m. Sunday to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital related to child abuse of a four-month-old.
OPD determined Meghan J. Bratcher, 32, “intentionally engaged in conduct that resulted in serious physical injury to the child.” OPD wrote.
Bratcher was charged Wednesday with first-degree assault. Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident, OPD indicated. She was listed as being held in Daviess County Jail this morning, pending bond.
The current condition of the child or its relation to Bratcher was not listed on the report.
