flooding 2015DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (11/30/19) — November is ending with lots of rain across the region.

The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a flash flood warning for Daviess County through 1:45 p.m. today.

Law enforcement reported numerous streets are closed due to flash flooding in Owensboro after 2 inches of rainfall.

NWS indicated flooding of small creeks, streams and urban areas including underpasses and other low-lying areas are possible. A warning means flooding is imminent or occurring, and individuals are reminded to “turn around, don’t drown.” If in the warned area near streams and creeks, residents are urged to move to higher ground.
