JoannaShake2018DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (2/13/20) — Green River Area Development District Board of Directors Executive Director Search Committee announced this week during the district’s meeting that Joanna Shake would replace retiring director Jiten Shah in May.

Shake brings 22 years of Area Development District experience to the position, as she has served the last 22 years as the associate director of Community and Economic Development and serving in various other positions at GRADD the years prior.

Chairman of the Search Committee, Judge-Executive Brad Schneider, said, “The committee was very confident that Ms. Shake would be approved by the GRADD Board of Directors as she has served the communities of the GRADD region, showcasing her expertise in bringing several projects to fruition during her tenor as the Economic Development Director.”

Shake will take over the role May 1.

Green River Area Development District  is a regional planning agency serving the communities of Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, Ohio, Union and Webster counties. GRADD offers assistance in the fields of aging, health, and social services; community and economic development; transportation planning; and workforce development. It's mission is to afford local governments and citizens a regional forum to identify issues and opportunities, and to provide leadership in planning and implementing programs to improve the quality of life in the district.
