Brandon Wright 12 12HENDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (12/12/17) — A 40-year-old Henderson man who attempted to elude city police Monday was sniffed out by a K-9 officer that found him hiding underneath a house.

Henderson Police Department reported an officer saw a driver in a Mercury Mountaineer weaving along Green Street at 11:37 p.m. He was identified as Brandon Michael Wright, who had active warrants. He nearly collided with the patrolman upon entering the officer’s lane of travel.

Police said Wright sped through three stop signs before crashing into a fence at Pringle Street, then fled on foot. K-9 "Exo" led police to a Madison Street home, where the elusive man was found hiding beneath.

Officers found marijuana in the man's pocket and also listed he was wanted on parole violation out of Vanderburgh County, Indiana.

He was charged with DUI, first-degree wanton endangerment, speeding, fleeing police, first-degree criminal mischief, possession of marijuana, leaving the scene of an accident and other charges.

Wright was listed as being held in Henderson County Jail this morning without bond.
