Fire 12 31

HENDERSON, Ky. (12/31/17) — An early morning fire broke out at a home on the 300 block of Walnut Lane in Henderson that claimed the lives of two of the family’s dogs.

Two residents were able to make it out of the structure, fire officials said. There were no reported injuries and the cause of the blaze is unknown.

Around 3 a.m., Henderson Fire Department and EMS were dispatched to the incident. A woman called in saying her bedroom wall was on fire.

Fire officials said heavy flames were visible upon their arrival. Henderson Municipal Power and Light also reported to the scene as firefighters worked in 13 degree weather.

The Red Cross is assisting the family.
