UPDATE: ROBARDS, Ky. (1/1/18) — Henderson County Sheriff’s Office reported a 37-year-old Henderson County man has undergone surgery after he was shot in the abdomen at a New Year’s Eve party at his home.

Reginald Brown II was involved in an altercation with two unknown black men around 10:39 p.m. at a U.S. 41-S residence, according to the report. As the the suspects left, “they pulled out handguns and began firing at Brown.” He was struck with one round, and the two men left.

Brown was taken by ambulance to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Evansville, Indiana following the shooting incident. Deputies reported he was undergoing surgery early this morning. His condition is unknown.

ROBARDS, Ky. (12/31/17) — There has been a report of a shooting at the 11,000 block of U.S. 41 near Robards in Henderson County.

A man was transported by ambulance from the scene of a New Year’s Eve party just before 11 this evening.

Henderson County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating the incident, where a victim was apparently shot in the abdomen and is being taken to St. Vincent’s in Evansville, Indiana for treatment.

Witnesses said two men starting fighting and one of them allegedly pulled a gun and opened fire among a group of people.

Authorities indicated at least one person was injured.

More information will be provided as it becomes available.
