Arrest 2 10HENDERSON, Ky. ( 2/10/18) — A Daviess County resident faces several charges after allegedly running a red light today in Henderson.

Officials said around 2 p.m. today that a Henderson County Sheriff’s Office deputy made a traffic stop on a blue 1996 Buick passenger car along U.S. 41-N and Watson Lane.

The driver was identified as Rodriecus Lockridge, 36 of Owensboro. When Lockridge was asked to show his driver's license, he gave two false names, according to the report. Once identified, deputies revealed the driver was wanted on outstanding charges.

On the way to Henderson County Jail, HCSO indicated Lockridge was seen on the in-car video camera placing a bag containing a white substance into his mouth. Deputies were able to get Lockridge to spit out the bag believed to contain methamphetamine.

When Deputies arrived at the jail, Lockridge was advised that if he had any other illegal substances, he needed to turn them over to avoid more charges. Deputies stated Lockridge reached into his pants and retrieved another bag possibly containing meth.

Lockridge was charged with disregarding a traffic light, giving police false identifying information, driving on a suspended or revoked license, failure to surrender revoked license, tampering with physical evidence, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth), in addition to first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (meth) and failure to appear.

He was listed as being held this evening on $5,800 cash bond.
