Robards 1

ROBARDS, Ky. (2/13/18) — Henderson County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Robards Fire Department were called to the intersection of Kentucky 416 West and Smith Denton Road this morning just after 7a.m. for an accident with injuries involving two vehicles.

Fire officials said the road was closed for about an hour.

Natalie Pirtle, 24 of Robards, was driving eastbound along Kentucky 416 West, when Spencer Sword, 16 of Robards drove a Ford F-150 onto Kentucky 416 West in the path of Pirtle's Ford Focus, according to the report. Pirtle t-boned the truck, which traveled approximately 180 degrees into the ditch.

Officials say Pirtle was transported to Methodist Emergency Room by private vehicle for a possible broken wrist.

Pirtle's vehicle sustained heavy damage, while Sword's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was able to be driven from the scene.
