drugarrest 300 bHENDERSON, Ky. (3/5/18) — A Henderson man was charged with illegal drug trafficking following an undercover investigation in Henderson.

Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force and Henderson County Sheriff’s Office detectives reported receving information that Gary Cole, 61, was selling methamphetamine at the east end of town. He was seen driving a Chevy Corvette near a South Green Street business.

At 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, Cole agreed to meet an undercover informant in a restaurant parking lot for an alleged drug sale.

HCSO reported deputies made a traffic stop on Cole after the exchange, and then he attempted to drive away. Authorities recovered money used by the informant to purchase the meth, which amounted to $100.

Cole was charged with trafficking in meth (less than 2 grams) and taken to Henderson County Jail.
