KennedyUPDATE: EVANSVILLE, Ind. (5/15/18) — Two people were arrested Monday night following a three-state chase involving multiple agencies across eight counties.

The driver, identified as Michael Robert Kennedy, 47 of McLeansboro, Illinois, was arrested by Vanderburgh County Sheriffs Department after his Chevy truck down an embankment off U.S. 41 in Evansville.

Passenger Sharmin Lee Partridge, 48 of Raleigh Illinois, was charged with possession of marijuana. 

Kennedy was charged with DUI, resisting arrest, driving on a suspended license and reckless driving along with several other charges from other agencies.

Kennedy was being held in the Vanderburgh County Jail without bond. Partridge was listed as being held on $100 bond.

Henderson PursuitHENDERSON, Ky. (5/14/18) — A police chase across the state that involved multiple law enforcement agencies ended tonight in Evansville, Indiana.

About 20 officers made a pass through U.S. 41 in Henderson on the trail of a grey Chevy truck before 8 p.m.

The pursuit began in southern Illinois. Hardin County deputies attempted to stop the driver, and that’s when the man fled.

Area authorities reported the chase went through Pope, Saline and Gallatin counties in Illinois and then crossed the Shawneetown Bridge into Union County, where the elusive driver and police continued through Webster and Henderson counties.

Finally, the chase ended in Evansville along U.S. 41 at the Veterans Memorial exit, where the truck left the road and traveled down an embankment. A male and female were taken into custody, police said. The individuals were taken to Vanderburgh County Jail. Charges are pending on the unknown individuals.

Authorities from Illinois, Kentucky and Indiana were on scene in Evansville when the chase ended. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
