CRIME INVESTIGATE 300HENDERSON, Ky. (5/16/18) — An alert was sent out the Henderson County School District students this morning regarding a threatening social media post that circulated overnight.

Henderson Police Department Officer Jennifer Richmond reported the person that apparently shared the “disturbing” post is “not enrolled in any Henderson County Schools.”

“We have reached out to whom we feel is the correct law enforcement agency and school system regarding this post for them to investigate it further,” Richmond said in a statement. “We take the safety of all Henderson County students very seriously and worked with multiple school districts and law enforcement agencies throughout the night while investigating this incident.”

HPD reported the agency would not be releasing any information related to the post.

The profile information listed below was said to be circulating in the Henderson County area overnight — possibly a fake one. The page displayed a cover photograph of a firearm on a Facebook page along with a message:
