shots firedHENDERSON, Ky. (5/22/18) — Henderson Police Department detectives are still piecing together evidence related to shots fired in Henderson early this morning. The gun allegedly used during the shooting has yet to be found.

As a result of the investigation, a Henderson teen was arrested.

HPD reported responding to the 900 block of Oakcrest Drive, where gunshots were fired at 2 a.m. A home along the street was struck twice. There were no reported injuries.

Trevor O. Foster, 18, and several others were outside when detectives got to the scene, according to the report. Several juveniles on Amberfield Court told police they went to Oakcrest Drive to watch a fight.

“They showed text messages from Foster in which he threatened to shoot a witness in a homicide investigation that occurred in November of 2017 in which 21-year-old Devin Fields was murdered,” HPD Officer Jennifer Richmond wrote in a press release.

During this morning’s investigation, officers revealed finding a backpack with nearly a pound of marijuana near a fence at the Oakcrest Drive home. A warrant was issued to search the residence and police seized $4,000 in cash that was under a mattress in Foster’s bedroom along with a couple baggies containing marijuana.

Foster was taken to the station for questioning, HPD reported, admitting to sending the text messages and denying ownership of the marijuana.

Police indicated Foster is a cousin to Deangelo Pollard, who was charged Dec. 1 in connection to the murder of Devin Fields. Deangelo Pollard was also charged with murder and first-degree robbery related to the HPD investigation.

Foster was charged this morning with intimidating a participant in a legal process and trafficking in marijuana.

Anyone with information related to the ongoing investigation is asked to call Detective Jake Isonhood at (270) 831-1295 or Crime Stoppers at (270) 831-1111.
